Wow, what an amazing show, three incredible sets from three amazing Melbourne acts, all witnessed live by a full house at RRR’s live performance space on a tuesday night.

Started out quite trippy with an old Gemignani favourite some vintage Dolphy from Out To Lunch and some spacious krautrock from Cluster and Eno. New ambience from Actress and Scuba brought the first bracket to a close and created a nice bed for the hypotic Lee Perry produced congos and their afro reggae anthem Congoman. Made a nice discovery playing Floating Points on 33 rpm which came on like a warped, chugging Theo Parrish tune. Disco tripped on from there with Tony Cook, Oriol and an environ reissue from Discotheque before checking out the new Four Tet tune from his split 12″ with Mala, a teaser for Soul Jazz’s new Future Bass compilation.
Had to lay down the new Throwing Snow tune again this week because it’s killah! After all the digital bleepin we got funky with Big Boi, Super Melody, Jimmy Edgar and a Billy Ocean boogie classic. thanks for listening, tune in next week from 8pm on 3RRR. Last show before Radiothon 2010, MAKE CONTACT which starts this Friday.
